Mr. Olley has advocated the use of a 3-speed gear box on the cars. We notice also, that the gear box sent through for the smaller chassis has only 3-speeds. The opinion of the officials at the works who handle cars are so unanimously in favour of the 4-speeds that we thought it would be worth while to get their views and send them on to Mr. Royce. Attached herewith are reported from Mr. Bellringer, Hy{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}, EH; EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} has already sent his views on this matter to Mr. Royce.
