We recently removed a body from experimental car 10-G3, sent the chassis to the Repair Dept. for disposal and fitted this body on to the new chassis 17-G4. which is the car recently went to Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence as a model of the first cars fitted with Central Lubrication.
The body is a Hooper Saloon which was ordered specially for an experimental car two years ago. It is in a good condition and of smart appearance. It is however condemned on the score of weight. We would therefore like to fit this body to its original chassis and to be supplied with a new modern light body for 17-G4. We wondered whether you have any fabric bodies going through which we could make use of.
We should be glad if DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} would give consideration to this matter because we are anxious, now that the body has been condemned, to get rid of it.
