Re. SAMPLE ALVIS HUB CAP
DER
PLATED BY ALFORD AND ALLIOTT.

The deposits present on the above cap were found to be as follows :-

Base material - Steel.
Thickness.

Nickel
"Flash" to 0.00025"

Copper
0.0006" to 0.00125"

Nickel
0.00025" to 0.00125"

Chromium
Not measured.

The resistance of the deposit to sea-spray was good.

The polish we consider to be as good as that obtained on our external plated steel work at present.
