x350 To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/HPH. (Lillie Hall). c. to GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} (Paris). Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}17/KW.29.9.36. We are sending to you 4 ball pads to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}130, 4 washers to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}132, and 4 plain washers for the cross steering tube joints of 35-EX. The plain washers are for the purpose of packing up the springs, and it will probably be necessary to file these down to suit each individual joint to prevent the springs going choc-a-bloc. The job should be done with the cross steering tubes removed from the car and the friction should be 3 - 3 1/2 lbs. at the opposite end of the tube. The packing washers should be placed in the cap of the joint as in sketch below. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/F.J.Hardy.
