W/S. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} 1166. E/L1d.2/HP.6.5.37. re Phantom III Jacking System. In reply to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}15/E.5.5.37, a standardisation sheet is now in circulation for the modified jack rams and pump, and these will be introduced on "D" series. We cannot adopt the cheapened oil tank immediately and take advantage of the whole £2.10.0 saving because we have not yet received a cheapened tank for test. This item however will not require a protracted test and can be brought on quite quickly once it is released for production, provided that we do not order large quantities of the existing type of tank.
