To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to CJ. c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} c. to Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} ORIGINAL Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}12/LC10.5.23. 20 HP. LARGER CRANKSHAFT X4221 We found, that the only engine in which we have been running the larger crankshaft, the intermediate bearings have worn badly and in some cases the whitemetal has cracked and broken away. The engine had run approximately 7,000 miles including the run to Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence. This means that we shall require to have further experience with this shaft before we could recommend it for standardisation. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
