Rvi Unit. RIC. from He/Rn.{Mr Robinson} He/Rn.{Mr Robinson}14/KT. 23.1.33. PEREGRINE UNITS. ----------------- This is to confirm our verbal conversation with H.P.S. that we shall bring No.3. unit up to the standard of No.5. unit, which will include the following features :- (1) Ribbed bottom half. (2) Large balance weights. (3) Spring damped clutch. (4) New relief valve. (5) New exhaust valves. (6) Latest breather scheme. (7) 107º camshaft. We understand that the next unit built, No.7, will be the same. We have got to make a repeat test on the Borg & Beck clutch, which we turned down previously. This clutch was fitted to a short stroke crankshaft, and we should like to get it fitted to a long stroke crank of some sort. We do not mind if the crank is a small journal one, or any other obsolete type. We should like to know what can be done. Can we adapt the obsolete crank in No.1 unit for this job?
