After an excellent crossing, I found the French customs officials were ready to pay far too much personal attention to Dubonnets parts. This was owing to the fact that there were so few cars for them to argue about. As questions and the general position was becoming awkward, and the fact that I had no intention of paying £22.10.0d in duties on parts that were coming back to England - I had the parcel sealed and sent by the train to Paris.
