HALLOWAX IMPREGNATING COMPOUND.

Leakage tests shewed the Hallowax to be slightly worse than standard i.e. .020 micromhos as compared with .004 micromhos at 100°C. As regards breakdown voltage the standard paraffin wax was also better giving 128 volts per mil as compared with 106 volts per mil for Hallowax. The important point about this Hallowax is its high melting point which we confirmed to be about double the value of standard wax i.e. in Centigrade degrees.
