With reference your memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG26.11.23, it would appear to us from the remarks in the first paragraph that you do not consider the 40/50 chassis which you have with four wheel brakes to be satisfactory. Is this so, as I understood that such complaints as you had with these cars were rectified immediately they were handed over to you. With regard to your remarks that cases of ineffective braking have always been cured by "setting of the brake shoes - we shall be glad if you can give us details of such setting and bedding of the shoes, so that we can instruct our various service stations accordingly, and also that BY.{R.W.
