SECRET E.A.C.

RE BARKER ENCLOSED LIMOUSINE ON SUB_FRAME CHASSIS 9PK.

Thank you for your memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/LG/19.5.25. re the above.

I propose going to Barkers about next Thursday to regain the car during the Whitsun Holiday, so that if the plates are there by then (Thurs.) it will be soon enough. I propose bring the car to West WitteringHenry Royce's home town for Mr Royce to inspect, and then returning it to Barkers for any modifications [strikethrough] before the sales officals try the body. I want them to try this body on a Silver Ghost, then, should there be any special advantages or disadvantages we shall be better able to judge them and shall know that they belong to the body and notthe new chassis.

As soon as possible we shall send you the car and ask you to return us the chassis to Messrs Hoopers for their Enclosed Limousine which has been completed some while.

We note your remarks about the side-levers and will take the necessary precautions.

We learn this morning that the two wheel-carriers have been sent to Barkers and are now fitted.

EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}

Barkers tell me thatbthe tyres are in a rather worn condition a nd scarcely safe to go out with.
