To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/NRC.{N. R. Chandler} 512. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/NRC.{N. R. Chandler} 3/AP.10.9.37 Re. 20/25. RR.Clutch A lot of trouble is experienced with the rapid wear of clutch facings on 20/25.HP. cars with synchro gearbox, and the facings have to be replaced repeatedly. We have received from the Cleveland Graphite Bronze Co. of Cleveland, some metallic facings, which are stated to be very satisfactory on Chrysler and we are anxious to try them. Both 21.G.1V. and 22.G.1V. have Borg & Beck clutches and to fit the R.R. clutch would mean extensive alterations. The service car 17.G.1V. has the R.R. clutch, may we try the new facings on this.?
