Messrs. Rolls Royce Limited,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. C.S. Steadman.

With reference to our recent conversation on Heating Equipment, we have decided to market a Heating Equipment on similar lines to the American Principle, that is, a complete unit, radiator, electric motor, fan, and leads off for de-misting and de-frosting.

Originally it is true we suggested a layout which had certain advantages in our opinion as regards cost, provided a sufficiently large order was forthcoming, but after careful investigation we have formed the opinion that a complete unit as above, and fitted under the dash, will meet with greater favour, mainly due to the fact that such a complete unit can be fitted as an extra on models when cost may not permit fitting as standard.

We enclose you three alternative layouts using this system, and if it is desired to fit the unit on a shelf under the bonnet the air may be taken from outside as in our original equipment although you may not consider this absolutely essential.

Samples will be available next week and we are taking the liberty of reserving one for your goodselves for test purposes.

Yours faithfully,
p.p. S. SMITH & SONS (MOTOR ACCESSORIES) LIMITED.
