B.80 Marine - Scintilla Magneto.
The drawing that has been made by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH. showing the above fitted to the 8 cylinder engine to the design of PL.219, shows that it is the highest part of the engine and in consequence will not usually install nicely in a boat. The top of the magneto being about 6" above the rocker cover.
I fear that the weight of the magneto is such that under vibration, it will break off the neck of the bracket which supports it.
An additional stay is obviously essential to steady this super structure.
