B.9.BN.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} Referring to EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}18/MH.{M. Huckerby}26.9.34 I should be glad to see copy of your reply. I attach copy of letter I have received/from to-day Mr.Tips wherein you will see that he says the braking started to shimmy which made the car practically unmaneageable. This seems to be another case of what I referred to at Derby in connection with Fairey's car, i.e. shudder, when the brakes are applied under certain conditions of road surface and speed. The car is now at Derby in the Repair Department and I was wondering whether there was any modification which could be fitted which would help in this respect before the car is returned to Belgium. I seem to remember having seen other reports about the shimmy being very bad on the pavé roads over there. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Enc. Copy of letter from Mr.Tips dated 28.9.34 | ||
