Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}26/N. Messrs.Park Ward & Co.Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden, London N.W.10. Confidential. Dear Sirs, Re: Long Wheelbase Bentley, 1.B.50. We send herewith the following designs to enable you to start the full size drawing of the body for the Long Wheelbase Bentley, 1.B.50. (1) PD.108 - 1/16 Scale - Four Door, Six Light Saloon. (2) PD.93 - 1/4 Scale - Layout of Body on Chassis. (3) PD.112 - 1/4 Scale - Front of Car. The full size drawing should show the whole of the car, as it is desired that you should build a complete mock-up as you did for 1.B.5. You are still short of some information such as the shape of the sheet metal dash, the radiator shell, the floorboards, and also a specification. These will all follow in a few days. We have already sent you a print of PD.93 shewing how the chassis consists of the Short Wheelbase Bentley with 6.000 added in the centre. That print should be destroyed now and replaced with the completed design of the same number herewith. We call your attention to the 2.750 added to the rear horns of the frame to cater for the longer body overhang. PD.93 Cont'd...... | ||
