One of customers already uses such a fitting for the complete carrying of our tank unit and vent to his tank, but we have not as yet added the petrol feed service to this fitting.

We merely make a suggestion, and either the writer or Mr. Davey will come and see you if you are interested as we feel sure that an efficient and more sightly arrangement could be made in this way.

We note your present practice with the vent pipe, and this is quite in order so long as a skilled person does the blowing up of the gauge. It is necessary to carefully watch the liquid in the gauge whilst doing this blowing up with the mouth, to see that the liquid is not blown out of the gauge tube on the dashboard. We would not recommend the general public to do this, but for the handling of the gauge in an Experimental Dept. such as yours, we believe it to be perfectly satisfactory.

Yours faithfully,

Sgd. F.P.Searight.

Joint Managing Director.
