Re: "AT" SPEEDOMETER (English make)

Your memo Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rml/LG5.5.24 to hand.

Undoubtedly the type of speedometer fitted to your test cars in France are unsatisfactory.

The new one supplied a few days ago by "AT" London, does not register more than 10 mph.

We are returning it to you in case No 848

The original speedometer which was fitted to chassis 98-MK, is also on its way to England in case No 814, and we gather from reports by Rowbotham that the totalizator does not work.

A third head is also to be returned in case No 848 with a similar complaint.

"AT" present Rowbotham is without a speedometer, and I would suggest that a French "AT" be fitted, which is very reliable.

We believe it is a question of workmanship; The French being superior to the English in this respect.

The French "AT" Company have no connection with the English "AT" Company, and cannot repair English made speedometers, the design and size is slightly different.

Please instruct us, or send out at least two more "AT" heads for the test cars.

Ps.
