X7310- RECEIVED 28 MAY 1932 DX. c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. Sfty/Mr Mathews. E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}2/HP.27.5.32. X7310 X15310 Phantom II - 20-HP. Synchromesh. -------------------------------- We send you herewith LeC.3106. We have prepared this design to overcome two faults:- Firstly we have substituted a Woodruff key for the taper pin in the operating mechanism which sheared in France on 19-EX. Secondly the small levers on the cross shaft are very expensive to produce, we are told by the works, owing to the small end being hardened. The new design shows the levers soft and having pins rivetted in. Will you please instruct this in parallel to Experimental and Works. E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} | ||
