We wrote to Cy. re the Cadillac gearbox.
Attached is a copy of his reply.

We propose to incorporate as much of the information as possible on the next SpectreCodename for Phantom III gearbox.
In particular we are interested to try the 45° helix angle gears, and also to have mating gears ground on different machines.
