E.J.C. J.D.76. X 46175 29-4-30. X46175. SX Battery, (159) The positive brass terminal post of no 6 cell (Std. Exide) has pulled out. The lead has not effectively entered the holes in the post which are to form locking pins. This is the first case we have had of this in our dept, but it will be recalled that this type of post has been modified by the makers as contained in ECM/LJ 9-10-29 (X7535E) This cell being of no further use was opened up for examination although it had not actually failed electrically. The negative plates were good The positive plates were very fair having lost only a small amount of active material. (cont'd) | ||
