EAC. CONNECTING ROD MODIFICATIONS.

We send you herewith drawing LeC.2081., shewing 3 proposed experiments in connection with EAC. connecting rods as follows :-

(a) Connecting rod with bronze bushes in the big end and modified cap.

(b) Connecting rod with steel bushes in big end.

(c) Standard unbushed connecting rod with combination of axial and circumferential grooves forming a toothed pattern on the interior of the steel big end for more effectively retaining the whitemetal. This rod should be tried in mild steel as well as alloy steel.
