REVISED - VACUUM CONTROL.

We send herewith N. sch. 3194. shewing the proposed new position for the stops.

It will be seen that we suggest that the piston can be slotted opposite the pin as it is located and the length of the piston is principally to retain the pin.

With reference to the piston, on further consideration we think that it does not matter if the head of the aluminium nut is reduced below that of the bore as the air cushioning is removed and intended to be replaced by the cork buffer if any is found necessary. We therefore propose to retain the present design of piston with the modification to the nut diameter indicated.
