To Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/NRC.{N. R. Chandler} from FFC. X8783el EFC1/T18.3.29. IGNITION COILS With reference to your statement regarding failures of ignition coils, it would be of value to us to have answers for each case of failure to the following questions:- (1) Is the coil of the finer primary or coarser primary winding type ? (2) Is the ballast resistance of single or double value type ? (3) Is the coil position on the engine high up, as in the Phantom case, or low down on the wheelcase (Silver Ghost) Such information, if possible to obtain, would be of more value to us than a statement to the effect that such and such a number of coils have failed.
