Sidgreaves - MD} X7250 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}2/WJ.11.2.30. RADIATOR SHIMMY. X.7250 X.7830 X.7005 With reference to EVS/10.2.30. The reason we asked for a somewhat harder rubber for semi-isolation pieces was to reduce the necessity for coachbuilders to put additional pieces of rubber between the scuttle and dash, which at present they are sometimes forced to do. We have tested these rubbers and they do not increase the tendency to radiator shimmy. We think that if you look at the pieces of the present rubber on a body where they have been tightened up to reduce scuttle movement, you will appreciate the need for the modification. We have already carried out the tests on the body that you suggest and shall be reporting on them in due course. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
