Phantom II Exhaust Hot Spot Temperatures.

Tests carried out on 28-EX, using an Elliot Millivoltmeter No.1121620 and thermo couple of Eureka and copper wires.

Max. Temp.
Full throttle climb of 1 mile at constant 20 MPH. 99°C corrected

" " " " 1 " " " 40 " 134°C "

Light running at constant 30 m.p.h. for 5 miles averages 62°C. corrected.

General running not exceeding 50 m.p.h. for 10 miles averages 86°C. corrected.

Engine ticking over at 300/400 r.p.m. from cold 28/30°C.approx.

Running free at 750 r.p.m. registers 38°C. corrected.

" " "1500 " " 56°C. "

From 1500 r.p.m. to tick over at 300 r.p.m., temperature drops to 37°C. in 2/3 minutes.
