Mr. Hancock from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, We have wired you asking you to wire us daily giving the total mileage of the car and any failures. The reason for this is that the post from Chateauroux is very much delayed. Up to date we have not received any daily reports and Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} asks daily how the car is getting on. We have received your note of the 17th./in which you say you are disappointed with the speed of the car which is 80 m.p.h. We consider this speed very good taking into account the low axle ratio. 80 m.p.h. is practically equivalent to 3000 engine revs. Although we have asked you to send the daily telegrams, we still expect to have the daily reports.
