We send herewith N.scheme 3124, shewing a modified set in the hand brake lever - E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} and F.{Mr Friese} type - to give greater clearance between the lever and the front pillar.

This will be essential on 26-EX and is also a feature which we badly need on all cars, and especially now that the 'straight through bonnet line' is popular, and looks like coming to stay.

If this alteration is approved on trial we would be glad if Derby would treat the D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} and C. type lever accordingly.

Will Derby please set out the two types of levers on the 20/25 HP. on similar lines, and send us a scheme with a view to trying such a lever on 18-G4.
