For the attention of Mr.S.Burman

Dear Sirs,

With reference to our telephone conversation this afternoon. I have now confirmed that we will accept your delivery date of some 6 - 8 weeks for the steering box for our Austin 10, and we would therefore like you to make such a box.

We can spare the existing box for a few days in the near future, and the suggested arrangement is that you should come over with this in a few days, and discuss and settle details of the box we require, with you. You will then let us have the existing box back as soon as possible after taking the necessary measurements and particulars, so that the car can be run in the meantime, and you will then proceed with the manufacture of the box and let us have it as soon as possible for fitting to the car here. We should be grateful for details of any special precautions we should take in the fitting up, though we imagine these will be much as mentioned during the discussions on the box you fitted to our Austin 8.

Our official order for the making of the box will be sent to you in due course.

I will fix up the time of my visit to you by phone as soon as I know when the box is available.

Yours faithfully,
for Rolls-Royce Limited.
