For the attention of Mr. H.R. Buckland.

Dear Sir,

On the occasion of my recent visit to you some reference was made to noisy speedometer flexible drives.

This trouble is now becoming very prevalent and I should like to know what steps you are taking to improve matters.

It is possible by entirely redesigning the drive and providing positive lubrication, to eventually obviate this annoying trouble.

Noisy flexes have "always been with us" but I know you will agree with me when I say that there is no reason why they should be tolerated today when other more complicated accessories are quiet. I shall await your reply with interest.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED
