1280 Experimental Dept. Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Std.5/MH. {M. Huckerby} 21st. January, 1939. Messrs. John Marston Ltd., WOLVERHAMPTON. For the attention of Mr. Dunn. Dear Sirs, Enclosed herewith please find prints of EB.4286/7 - modified drawings of R.H. and L.H. matrix straps, for Bentley V. {VIENNA} radiator - will you please replace existing prints by the new ones, scrap the former and work to the new drawings for future radiators. We posted to you last night (Friday) four lamp bracket assemblies (for Bentley V and Bentley 50) comprising two sets - however, we find that three of the assemblies were one hand and one of the other hand, so that in effect, only one useful set has been despatched. This will be used, however, for the Bentley V radiator (10.B.V. chassis) which you are completing for Thursday next (Jan. 20th.), and the necessary assemblies to complete the remaining sets will follow in a day or so. In discussing Mr. Smith's visit on Tuesday in connection with the complaint from our Production side, the writer overlooked the fact that he had a previous appointment in Chapel-en-le-Frith, and will therefore not be at the works on Tuesday. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
