It seems to me that we must not expect to use hydraulic transmission, and a servo. If we use the former we must be contented with direct braking, or the whole thing probably gets too complicated, but with the hydraulic transmission we should get a better effect from the direct braking because a given leverage would be more effective, and it permits of an increased leverage as we can have automatic adjustment.
