| X240. To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} E.11/HP.8.11.32. c.c. Sr. Hor. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} re Bensport J.1. with existing engine unit radiator and engine suspension. We send you herewith LeC.3258 showing modified radiator to take two thicknesses of matrix 84 m/m and 70 m/m together with engine suspension to suit existing engine unit. The radiator is in the position it has been assigned on the final scheme, and is of the right dimensions to suit the matrices which have been placed on order with the Harrison Co. We find that to suit our practice with regard to withdrawing the engine from the chassis it will be necessary to make the tubular crossmember removable. Sufficient room has been allowed between the crossmember and the radiator for including the flanges required for this purpose. A print of LeC.3258 is attached to Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}'s copy of this memo. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
