Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Nightingale Road, Derby. Dear Sirs, Having patented an improvement for the purpose of identification of terminal wires of the lighting and starting system of a car, I should be glad to know if you are interested. The raison d'etre of this system is to avoid damage to the battery, dynamo, etc. by eliminating the possibility of wrong connections being made during adjustment and repairs and by simplifying the work of the electrician. The system takes the form of small rubber sleeves, two to each wire and drawn over the end of the wire, fitting snugly round the insulation. These sleeves have letters and figures thereon giving an indication of the terminal from which the wire emanates and to which it is attached at the other end. They are also specially marked to indicate whether the wire is negative or positive. If you are interested I shall be grateful if you will let me have a copy of your wiring diagram along with small samples of the wire used when I could supply you with suitable samples. Thanking you in anticipation, I am, Yours faithfully, W. Caig Mitchell | ||
