| STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS. Description of Parts. IMPROVED ARRANGEMENT OF WIRING TUBES AND FITTINGS. Origin. To make the wiring neater. Experimental Test Report. The chief modification is using push-in fittings in place of screwed. These are lighter and more convenient to dismantle. The arrangement of tubing has been modified to make use of straight tubes and suitable aluminium castings for the junctions. This is an improvement in the leads from the battery and the earthing terminal. Road Test Report. Fitted to 5-G-11 - run 4100 miles. There is no alteration in the electrical wiring scheme - the improvement is in the method of carrying and protecting the wiring. Signature of Exp. Dept. that above is correct.
