Cost of Exhaust Systems.

In view of the recent very successful tests (on B-56-BN{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington}) of aluminised mild steel pipes and sheet replacing staybrite, it would appear that we should do everything possible to test this out on P.III and 25/30 chassis as quickly as possible.

On the P.III chassis particularly the saving in cost to be obtained will be very substantial, as an example the two downtake pipes cost £3.12.0 in their staybrite form.

It is suggested that one or two sets of parts are put in hand immediately to replace all Staybrite parts and that they should be tested as quickly as possible on a P.III and 25/30 HP. experimental chassis.

In the meantime orders for production chassis of Staybrite parts should be kept back as long as possible so that, if successful, aluminised parts can be introduced immediately they are released.
