Further refinements required :-

In dealing with economies, great care must be taken to maintain the highest refinements for the parts which the customer is bound to see or touch. There are certain items, which are fitted to the majority of cars costing over £300, which we, apparently cannot afford. These are :-

1. Built-in illuminated number plate.
2. Reversing light.
3. Adjustable height steering-wheel:- There are two alternative adjustable steering-wheels available :-

(a) "The Bluemel" which has no positive location for the height of the wheel, and no positive tortional location for the control tubes.

(b) "The Dover" In this case, the rim can be adjusted in height, relative to the centre of the wheel. The appearance of this wheel, however, is bound to be inferior.

So far, no car manufacturer has gone thoroughly into the best method of obtaining an adjustable steering-wheel, by making certain alterations to the steering-column, and the controls to the engine. If this is done, efficiently, we feel sure that all known troubles of the present adjustable steering-wheel could be overcome for an additional cost of under 15/-

4. Chassis Lubrication system - A completely automatic lubrication system, which is controlled by the mileage of the car should be urged. Experimental department are already making preliminary tests, and it appears, that such a system will be no more expensive than our present lubrication system.
