X3809 Expl: Dept: HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}6/LG. 25th. Jan.1926. Messrs. The Dunlop Rubber Co., Fort Dunlop, Erdington, Birmingham. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. Paull. Development Supt. WELL BASE WHEELS AND TYRES: Our experience so far with the well base tyres and rims has been very satisfactory. The chief complaint is the noise caused by the tread. We consider the amount of noise is more objectionable than that caused by the traction tread. This is also the opinion of our Sales Dept. in London. We are of the opinion that the tyres are better for non-skidding qualities as long as the tread lasts. An experimental report is attached. Yours faithfully, | ||
