-2- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}35/KW.18.11.34. When we make a small improvement in the performance of the chassis we seem invariably at its initial introduction to get the reaction that the car is not only not better than its predecessors, but actually down in performance. If you will remember, when we introduced the large bore 20/25 we were told that it was slower than its predecessors. This may to a certain extent be accounted for by the fact that when an alteration is introduced, new cars are being compared with well run-in chassis. We believe that the present controversy about the new carburetter will settle itself when the latest cars have been on the road a little longer.
