SUMMARY. Our experience so far has made us very enthusiastic about the centrifugal blower for a car such as the Bentley where performance is a primary consideration. To take full advantage of a blower of course an 8 or 12 cylinder engine is needed. We feel that this type of supercharger is likely to be standardised on quite a number of cars in twelve months' time, and will put their performance out of reach of the naturally aspirated automobile, without introducing any of those unpleasant features which are usually associated with such characteristics.
