TO. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. from EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} RE BATTERY. PHANTOM. II. We are setting out some changes to the rear end of the Phantom II. with a view to getting room to allow of adequate wells for the feet of the rear passengers on the Continental Touring Saloon. To do this we want to use a sheet metal cross-member at the front end of the rear springs and to move the crossmember back some two or more inches. The present battery stops us doing this, so we would like to know if we can consider having two 6.volt batteries of a different shape. On the Peregrine and Bensport we have taken batteries having the standard plate. If we could do this on P.2. it would help us. We do not mind the battery being wider as there is plenty of room. Would you please tell us what is the latest idea on batteries and what we can have. In the meantime we are going on assuming that we can use two standard batteries and have assumed them to be two. 3-EMII-A.{Mr Adams}(National Accumulator Co.) We would like to hear from you as soon as possible as we are pushing along with this job for the Expl. Dept. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
