I believe you are selling the Embiricos car for Sleator.

You will appreciate that Brooklands is about two miles an hour slower than Montlehery, and the figure we obtained on Brooklands was 7 miles an hour faster than the Montlehery figure for the hour, in other words, in its final condition the car was not exactly standard. For obvious reasons we are removing the non-standard parts and the car should still be capable of over 105 m.p.h., but under no circumstances should you guarantee any speed when you sell it.

There are a lot of tricks about going fast on Brooklands, and we are beginning to know most of them, so if for any reason you have to demonstrate a reasonable speed on this car let us know and we will supervise the effort. Any work of this sort, however, should be avoided if it is at all possible.
