-10- Contd. Remembering that the instant of break in relation to the armature position of maximum flux is the same on the two machines, if we take the performance of the Lucas at the same degree of retard as the Watford, we find the low speed sparking figure to be 190 r.p.m. which, though not yet quite as low as the Watford, is a more reasonable figure for comparison. We are taking up with the makers the reason as to why this magneto does not comply with some of the items in our general specification. The Lucas may be said reasonably to comply with our specification. We are now making comparative tests of these two magnetos on chassis. EFC. | ||
