To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} X7430 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn{Mr Robinson}3/LG21.9.28. 12-EX STEERING. N.SCH.2296. X7430 (handwritten and crossed out) You will recollect that in order to get the car out to France the last time, we turned the serrations off the small plates in the pivots. During the next test in France we anticipate that we shall want to make a test of these plates with and without the serrations. Will you therefore please arrange to have a pair of brass thrust plates G.75218 made with serrations, and hand them to G.W.H. As these plates require rather exact fitting, we should like them to be made to suit the existing serrations on 12-EX so that there will be no difficulty in fitting them in France. Will you also please supply GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} with two springs G.75403 and with two .025 distance washers so that when the springs are in position their compressed length may be adjusted to 1.325" if necessary.
