Cox - Advertising Manager}4/KW25.11.36 This confirms my telephone message to you, that I find on enquiry that the clutch that Mr. has for fitting to this car is one supplied to him by the Repair Dept. and is identical with the one now fitted i.e. an RR type Plate G84810 - therefore there will be no point in making a change of this nature. We are satisfied the RR type plate which was recently fitted at the Works to this car represents the best we know of. The change we wish to make is to fit an RR type plate with the same material that is now being used on 35-MX.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} After consultation with Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} he considers that this plate should be fitted at Derby so that all concerned would have an opportunity of trying the car before and after the plate is fitted. | ||
