9940 To BJ. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG19.5.25. CHASSIS 21EM - MRS. GORING. 9940 XL4572 Referring to BJ/Py6/D16.5.25. The fact that Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} was not aware of the dangers of front wheel braking is not any fault of ours. We went to a lot of trouble when the 4-wheel brakes were launched, to get out a complete set of instructions of all the information concerning brakes. We attach herewith one section of these instructions which deals with the definite point in question, i.e. the danger of the steering taking charge. You will see that it is put very clearly. This point of Br's brings up a very big question. In our opinion we do not consider that sufficient information is circulated amongst officials. The recent difficulty with over-heating in Australia would possibly have been avoided if our people out there had received the information which exists in connection with this complaint. Because we have felt that the Officials away from the Works had not sufficient information about our products, we hope soon to sendyou a proof of a loose-leaf book which will give a complete technical description of the 'V' series chassis and a host of other useful items of information. Our idea is that certain Officials of the Company would have these books and as fresh information was available, further loose leaves would be circulated which would be added to the book.
