N5/B71112 Re Dashboard [Struck through: Mr Spinney] [Struck through: Mr Bailey] [Struck through: Mr Wormald] [Struck through: Mr Barrington] 7-11-12 It has been pointed out that the ventilators in the dashboard, when used in conjunction with a louvred bonnet, allow warm air from under the bonnet to obtain access under the front seats. Mr Platford therefore suggests that we should not fit any more cars with louvred bonnets and dashboard ventilators. We are at the present time fitting all Colonial cars up with louvred bonnets and it is on these cars that we wish to discontinue the fitting of dashboard ventilators. Will you please say if you are agreeable that we shall omit the dashboard ventilators on cars fitted with louvred bonnets. [Handwritten response] Yes! I agree to omit Ventilators in dash as it is most important to keep louvres in bonnet & allow vent for fan [Signature] RMB | ||
