Mr. Ashby from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to Dy.{F R Danby} [strikethrough] c. to PH. [strikethrough] c. to Clk. ORIGINAL. RECEIVED D 2 E6/W10.11.17 1917 X.308o Re - Milled out Rockers. With reference to the information concerning the number of machines required for the above, would you please note [inserted: out] that Mr. Royce has decided to give up the idea of milling the Arm [strikethrough: operation] of the valve rocker which holds the tappet bolt, but he thinks that the other milling [note below: output] might reasonably be done, since it only occupies the time of two machines. It is proposed, therefore to mill the fork of the rocker as we have shown on our LeC. drawings and to drill up the tappet arm in the manner at present used on production work. We attach your illustration herewith giving the times for the operations. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
