Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} EFC. c. to BJ. WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} EY. X7655 R2/M8.12.28. SS.{S. Smith} SEQUENCE STARTER MAIN SWITCH . X.7655 There are a few things that require modification on this unit, both in the instructions we sent you and your construction. Will you please alter them according to the drawing sent - e.g. LeC.2620 - herewith. The stroke of the main switch armature is increased from .050 to .075 measured at the pole centre. The clearances are given for the armatures at rest and when pressed firmly on their contacts The armatures are prevented from getting into close contact by protruding brass rivets which are supposed to be standing up .010" The strength of the magnets should be easily capable of carrying the armature right up against these stops even with a reduced voltage of say 8.
