re: Chassis B.135.BL - Mr BOEGNER

We are to-day in receipt of your telegramm reading:

"CHASSIS B.135.BL PREFER MAINTAIN WHITE METAL

"MAINS STOP CONSIDER 80000 KILOS REASONABLE

"MILEAGE FOR FITTING NEW BEARINGS AND CHARGE:

"BY AND RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} ROYCAR."

We wish to make it quite clear that we had already decided to charge the owner for all bearing repairs especially as the total mileage of the car is nearly 80.000 Km. The reason why we wrote to you was to ask you whether in this particular case Hall's metal main bearings would not stand up better than ones in white metal because as previously stated, we feel sure that this owner must be a very hard driver. It will be remembered that white metal big-ends bearings did not stand up on this car since it has been in the hands of its present owner.

Sr/VA.
